Overview
Discussions is the default room of the platform. It is organised by technology area rather than by track, so a question about connection pooling sits next to the people who have already hit it in production.
Threads are long-lived on purpose. A discussion that resolves gets a summary comment at the top, which is what makes the archive worth searching a year later.
Facilities
Area channels
One channel per technology area — development, AI, security, computer science, cloud and data — each with pinned reading and an owner rota.
Code-first replies
Snippets, diffs and stack traces render inline with syntax highlighting so answers can point at a line instead of describing it.
Resolution summaries
Every resolved thread carries a short written summary at the top: what the problem was, what fixed it, and what to watch for next time.
Cross-links to briefs
Threads can be attached to a project brief or module map so the discussion travels with the work it belongs to.
How it works
- 01
Post with context
The code, the error, the environment and what you already ruled out.
- 02
Get a reading
Someone outside your context responds — usually within a working day.
- 03
Converge
The thread narrows to a cause rather than a list of guesses.
- 04
Summarise
The author closes the loop with a summary so the next person finds it.

House rules
- 01Ask with context: the code, the error, and what you already ruled out.
- 02One problem per thread; branch a new one rather than hijacking.
- 03Post the fix once you find it, even if you found it alone.
Questions
Questions, answered
01How do I take part?
Build something, share the reasoning, and review someone else's work with the same care you want on yours.
02Is there a cost?
No. Participation is open; what it asks for is effort and good faith rather than a fee.
03How is feedback given?
Against the review criteria: specific, technical and about the work — never about the person.
04What is not tolerated?
Harassment, plagiarism and low-effort self-promotion. Those end participation.
